Philanthropy
Western Athletic Clubs (WAC) has long been a company with a charitable soul. Like many of our club members, we believe that actions speak louder than words, especially when it comes to fulfilling our mission statement, "We Enhance People's Lives." Since opening our doors in 1977, WAC has been fully engaged in supporting charitable organizations and volunteerism. We believe that philanthropy isn't just something for large corporations, tech tycoons, or the super wealthy. Individuals and companies of all shapes and sizes must play a more active role in their communities to create truly vibrant neighborhoods and healthy, active community members.
WAC's philanthropic program focuses its efforts in four primary areas. We support projects that promote- Healthy aging
- Improving the lives of disadvantaged children and youth
- Preventing and treating disease
- Continuing the education of fitness professionals for community outreach
We encourage you to read our club newsletters, which are available on each club's Web site. In these newsletters, we share stories about the people and organizations we're helping, and ways for you to get involved, too.
