Jim Gerber, President
Jim Gerber is a co-founder of Western Athletic Clubs. As president, he is responsible for all facets of the company's operations and growth. The regional and general managers of all WAC clubs report to Jim and he also serves as a member of WAC's Executive Team.
Jim was born and raised in the Seattle area and received his BA in economics from Claremont Men's College. A former racquetball player, Jim now plays golf and an occasional game of tennis. He is married, and has two children: Jim, also a WAC employee, and Lindsay.
Mindy Steiner, Chief Financial Officer
Mindy Steiner has been with Western Athletic Clubs since 1978. As chief financial officer and a member of the Executive Team, Mindy is responsible for the accounting, financing, data processing, information technology, human resources, membership, and legal functions of the company.
Mindy is a CPA with a BA in accounting from the University of Washington. She is a competitive squash player, plays recreational tennis and basketball, and enjoys playing and coaching volleyball.
Sandy Hoeffer, Vice President
Sandy Hoeffer has been with WAC since 1985, and has served as general manager of six different WAC clubs, including new clubs, acquisitions, and transitions. In this capacity, she has been responsible for hiring, developing and training employees; sales and marketing; member retention; operating and capital budgets; and operating policies and procedures.
Sandy's responsibilities as vice president and member of the Executive Team include new club development, renovations to existing clubs, and employee development and training. She has also served as an on-site consultant/analyst in all areas of the athletic club industry for club operators in the U.S., Ireland, Mexico, and Australia.
